This Family Thought They Were...
Never going to find their...cat?
Alright, so it is a cat. It's also dressed in a duck costume and is called "Bunny." I'm starting to get the feeling Parents aren't to sad to see Bunny go. I mean, I for one think that they are doing a pretty good job throwing people off Bunny's trail. Sign highlight: "Bunny is deaf & can't hear a thing" To me this implies, "So, even if you do see him, really don't even bother calling for him. And you know what, Bunny can outrun pretty much anything, so really don't even bother chasing after him. Just know he is very dearly loved."

MUNI Thought It Was...
MUNI thought it was the CSU budget cuts.
Both are making me pay more for less. It's almost the end of the month and I'm dreading the $55.00 I'm going to have to shell out for a new Fast Pass. It's hard for me to fork over that kinda dough, when I know MUNI is going to be doing it's best to make me mad, very mad, and very late.

Mini Cupcakes Thought They Were...
Mini cupcakes thought they were hole-punched umbrellas (a step in the wrong direction!)
WHAT IS WITH THESE?

I've seen these little buggers in nearly half-a-dozen different coffee shops and bakeries in the city and I'm always left wondering "why?!" Do smaller cupcakes seem like a step in the wrong direction to anyone else? Who wants less cupcake? Quite punching holes in my umbrella! I want more! It's a cupcake, it's already too small. It's like shrinking the Mona Lisa. Let's take the "bowlcake" route! Bakers, get on it.

Convenience Charges Thought They Were...
Ugh, having just purchased a pair of tickets online I can't help but feel took! Convenience charges?! They thought they were jumbo shrimp!
How and when is a charge EVER convenient? Ticketmaster, quit being such an oxy-moron!
In separate news, oxymorons are super sick. They thought they were Chinese finger traps for your brain! I found a whole bunch here, check 'em out.

Snuggies Thought They Were...
Snuggies thought they were BACKWARDS ROBES!

Enough is enough! The Snuggie is nothing more than a robe turned around! Here is a picture of an actual Snuggie and my roommate wearing her robe backwards. They look identical, apart from the jazzy pattern. Look how the fabric bunches around the neck! If a Snuggie wasn't a backwards robe it would have a proper neck hole/gap. Robes are cheaper and sold in more places; they have ties and pockets; and not to mention they were here first! This is not just a "they thought they were." This is a case of identity theft! Snuggies, knock it off.

They Thought They Were...
They thought they were...
Salvador Dali!
This week my Facebook was all a-post of people taking pictures of themselves in hand-drawn mustaches. I mean one person doodling a Dali stache is a lot, but three?! There must be some "melty clock" in the water, or I suppose people are just being struck with a strong sense of the Dada.

Applications, Cover Letters, and ResumesThought They Were...
Applications, cover letters, and resumés thought they were Mexican food.

Aha! Right? Can I get an air-five?...No? You're not with me on this? Okay, okay, well, think about it. I don't have to tell you that Mexican food is basically all the same thing in different shapes. I should interject here that I have no problems with Mexican food, I mean, burritos thought they were the second coming of Christ. My issues are with the redundancy of the job hunt. Having to deal with applications, cover letters, and resumés, throw in an interview or two, and you got a WHOLE lot of the same stuff said in different ways. With all the mind-numbing, meticulous hurdles most jobs make you jump before you get a position it's truly a wonder that there are any cases of ineptitude in any workplace. Aren't businesses supposed to be all about streamlining and efficiency? I propose that the business world take a page from Taco Bell, the world's leader in Mexican food streamlining, and develop the "Crunchwrap Supreme" of the application process. Let's wrap all this tedious paper work up in one flour tortilla and we'll be "good to go."

She Thought She Was...
Sitting in front of our computers in the living room, my roommate, Sara, clicks through a friend's pictures on Facebook. After seeing this one, she confidently exclaims--
"She thought she was Lady Gaga."
And that is how the game is played!
You see!? You see how brilliantly it straddles the line between fact and insult? I would have also accepted "Oh, I didn't know Lady Gaga was my Facebook friend."

And that is how the game is played!
